The 10.5cm leFH16 auf Geschutzwagen Mk.VI (e) was a German SPG from the Second World War. The vehicle was 4 meters long and 2.08 meters wide. The drive was provided by a single Meadows engine with a power of 88 HP. The maximum speed of the vehicle on the road was up to 35 km / h, and in the field - up to 25 km / h. The range of the vehicle was approximately 200 kilometers. The armament consisted of a single 105mm leFH16 howitzer and an MG34 machine gun.
The 10.5cm leFH16 auf Geschutzwagen Mk.VI (e) vehicle was developed on the basis of a captured British Vickers Mark VIc tank, some of which fell into the hands of the Germans during the BEF retreat from Dunkirk in 1940. The main change was to install a lightly armored casemate in the middle and rear part of the tank, open at the top, which housed the main armament of the vehicle. It is assumed that 6 to 8 vehicles of this type were built. Initially, it was used for occupation tasks in France, and in 1941 they were transferred to the Eastern Front, where they fought in the Leningrad region. During the service, vehicles of this type showed good off-road properties and, due to their small silhouette, were easy to mask.
