The 75 mm anti-aircraft gun wz.36 is a Polish 75 mm anti-aircraft gun from the interwar period and the initial phase of World War II. The first prototypes of this weapon appeared in 1933, and the serial production started in 1936. The total weight of the gun in the combat position was around 3,700 kilograms. The maximum range for land targets is about 14,500 meters, and for air targets about 11,300 meters. Theoretical rate of fire was from 20 to 25 rounds per minute. However, the initial velocity of the projectile fired from this weapon was up to 950 m / s.
The 75 mm anti-aircraft gun wz.36 was developed at the Institute of Armament Technology, and the production was carried out by the factory of Towarzystwo Starachowickie Zak³ady Górniczych SA. The weapon was developed for the needs of the Polish Army as a heavy anti-aircraft gun, intended primarily for point defense. The ballistic parameters of the weapon, durability of the structure and its quality indicate that the presented gun was in no significant way inferior to the anti-aircraft guns of the European countries produced at that time. It was planned to acquire 460 cannons of this type, but only 52 guns of this type were delivered to the army before the beginning of the September campaign. It is assumed that the cost of producing a single 75 mm wz.36 anti-aircraft gun was around 220,000 zlotys at that time.
