The BDT-35 is a Soviet, self-propelled armored draisine from the interwar period and World War II. Even traceable serial production lasted in the years 1935-1937, ending with the production of 5 rail vehicles of this type. The armament consisted of a 45mm cannon mounted in a rotating turret and 3 to 5 Maxim and / or 7.62mm DT machineguns. The BDT-35 draisine was designed primarily for reconnaissance, reconnaissance and patrol missions. The main emphasis was on the highest possible top speed and strong armament at the expense of armor. The main weapon of the draisine - the 45 mm caliber gun - was mounted in the same turret as was mounted on the T-26 tanks. The BDT-35 draisine also had limited anti-aircraft defense capabilities. Draisines of this type took an active part in the German-Soviet war of 1941-1945, and at least one unit fought against the Kwantung Army in Manchuria in August 1945.
