The Beo Panzerkampfwagen Mk.VI (e) was a German light observation tank from the Second World War. The car was powered by a single engine carburetor with power up to 88 HP. The length of the vehicle was approximately 3.7 meters with a width of approximately 2.13 meters. The maximum speed in the field slightly exceeded 40 km / h. When the campaign in France ended in June 1940, a relatively large number of British Light Tank Mk. VI (Mark VI) tanks fell into German hands. The German army decided to use these vehicles for their own purposes and some of them, with only minor changes, entered service - especially in occupied France - and some were converted into specialized vehicles, such as self-propelled guns or the Beo Panzerkampfwagen Mk.VI (e). . The latter vehicle was created by disassembling the turret with weapons and replacing it with a special superstructure on the left side of the car. The main task of the new vehicles was to conduct reconnaissance for their own artillery units and to coordinate fire. Vehicles of this type were used primarily in the 227th Infantry Division in 1940-1941. Some of them also fought on the Eastern Front.
