Cape Bowling Green Lighthouse was erected in 1874, approximately 70 kilometers from Twonsville, Queensland, Australia. The lighthouse was manufactured in Brisbane, then transported to its final destination and set up there. It was made primarily of steel and iron - it has a metal skeleton. The lighthouse tower is 32 meters high, but thanks to its foundation on a small hill, it rises about 36 meters above sea level. The range of its white light is 11 nautical miles (NM), or about 20 kilometers. It is worth adding that due to soil erosion, the lighthouse was moved several times during its service, for example in 1878 and 1908. Finally, in 1987, the lighthouse was replaced with a modern automatic device, and the building itself was moved to Sydney in 1995, where it became an exhibit of the local maritime museum.
