Heller 80614 Cotre Kurun

Cotre Kurun is a French seagoing yacht (sometimes referred to as a cutter) that was launched in 1948. The total length of the vessel is 13 meters with a maximum width of 3.55 meters. The total sails area is 95 m2. Cotre Kurun was designed by the marine engineer Henry Dervin, for the famous French sailor and navigator Jacques-Yves Le Toumelin. The unit was built in the years 1946-1948 in the town of Le Croisic. The vessel, along with its owner, has gone through the history of French maritime history in connection with the 1949-1952 cruise around the world and the 1954-1955 cruise on the Caribbean. The unit has been referred to as a historical monument since 1993, and in 2004 it underwent modernization during which it received an auxiliary combustion engine. Since 2004, the yacht has participated in numerous maritime festivals and is sometimes moored at the La Rochelle Maritime Museum on the Atlantic coast.
