The Ferrari 150 Italia (other designation: Ferrari F150 or Ferrari F150th Italia) is an Italian Formula 1 car that was presented in the 2011 season and competed in F1 races only this season. Its designers were Aldo Costa, Nicolas Tombazis and Marco De Luca. The Ferrari 150 Italia was powered by a single Ferrari Type 056 8-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2.4 liters and 660 hp.
Ferrari 150 Italia with its name refers to the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, which took place in 1861. After the protests of the Ford team, the car initially designated as F150 took the name of the Ferrari 150 Italia. The vehicle replaced the Ferrari F10 vehicle used in the 2010 season, which differs mainly in weight and improved aerodynamics. However, it uses many of the same components - especially the engine. Ferrari 150 Italia was also made primarily of carbon fiber composites, which has a positive effect on the weight of the vehicle and its durability. Ferrari 150 Italia vehicles took part in 19 races of the Grand Prix series - in 1 of them they won. The most famous drivers who drove the Ferrari 150 Italia were: Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
