The Grosse Yacht (also known as the "Neue Jacht") was a Brandenburg sailing ship from the second half of the 17th century, 23 meters long and 6.5 meters wide. The armament consisted of only 8-10 guns weighing 3 pounds. The Grosse Yacht was built in the years 1678-1679 in the Kołobrzeg shipyard by GC Peckelhering for the use of the Elector of Brandenburg, Frederick William I, also known as the Great Elector. Interestingly, the vessel was very clearly modeled on the yacht of the Dutch prince William III of Orange. During its service, the unit performed functions that could be considered representative today. In 1680, the unit was in the port of Pilawa, and in 1693 it paid a courtesy visit to Amsterdam. Shortly thereafter, the ship went to London on a diplomatic mission, carrying the special envoy of the Elector of Brandenburg on board. In 1721, the unit was dismantled. It is worth noting that despite the lack of the original plans of the vessel, in 2007-2009 a faithful replica of the Grosse Jacht was made.
