The Honda CBX400F is a Japanese sports motorcycle that was presented to the public for the first time in 1981. The same year also saw the start of serial production, which only lasted until 1984. The CBX400F model was developed to complement the Honda Motor Company market offering and later replace the famous CB400F Hawk series of motorcycles. The main change was to use a different power unit, which was still 4-cylinder, but generated more power, reaching 48 HP. There were also minor changes to the suspension - especially the rear one. Finally, a motorcycle was created, which, however, did not achieve commercial success and did not win the fight against models from Yamaha or Suzuki. The main problems were the relatively high production costs of the CBX400F and a less refined engine than in the CB400F models. Mainly for these reasons, the model was initially offered only in Japan, and after three years of production it was withdrawn from it.
