Pilgrimage Sanctuary of St. John of Nepomuk (Zelena Hora) is a religious building in the Czech Republic, located in the city of Ždiar nad Saszawa in Moravia. The roots of the building date back to the 18th century, when in connection with the canonization of St. John of Nepomuk, as well as with the spread of his cult, abbot of the Cistercian monastery in Ždiar, he decided to build a sanatorium dedicated to him, and located very close to the place of his birth. Construction began in 1719 and was completed two years later. The main architect was Jan Błażej Santini-Aichel, who created an eclectic building in a primarily baroque style, but with numerous Gothic elements. The church proper was surrounded by low buildings surrounding it on all sides, and having the shape of a five-pointed star. It is worth adding that the motif of the number "5" is also dominant in other solutions of the building - there are five entrances to the church, and there are five altars in it. In 1994, the sanctuary of St. John of Nepomuk (Zelena Hora) has been entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
