FAUR L45H (another designation: Lxd2) is a series of narrow-gauge diesel locomotives that were produced in the years 1964-1987 at the FAUR plant in Bucharest. The service weight of a single locomotive was 32 tons, and its length with buffers - 10.24 m. The locomotive was constructed with the B'B 'axis system.
The L45H locomotive was created as a modernization of another FAUR rail vehicle of this type - the L35H model. The main difference was in the use of a different engine. In the L45H model it was a Maybach 450 HP engine, which was replaced in Poland by the ZMIN Wola production unit with an even greater power of 505 HP. The first FAUR L45H locomotives were delivered to our country in 1968 and replaced the increasingly obsolete Tw47 and Tw53 locomotives. They were also designated Lxd2. In general, the locomotive turned out to be a quite successful design, and some of its disadvantages (e.g. high fuel consumption) were eliminated during the modernization carried out in Poland. At present, about 180-200 locomotives of this type remain in service in our country.
The models are digitally printed - some adhesives can dissolve the ink!
Paint in digital printing can be dissolved by certain types of adhesives like butaprene and similar on the same solvents. Before bonding, it is advisable to try the adhesive used on a barely visible part of the model.
