Waldemar Wübke was a German fighter ace from the Second World War. He is credited with 15 confirmed killings that he took over Western Allied machines. The pilot began his career as a fighter ace in the Battle of Britain in 1940, with his first victory - his last one in 1945. Waldemar Wübke flew various German fighters, but his favorite plane was the Focke-Wulf Fw-190 D-9, on which he was stationed in Germany and flew against allied bombing raids. Most often he flew with a machine marked as the red three (German Rote 3). In the declining period of the war, Waldemar Wübke flew a jet Me-262 in the Jagdverband 44 (JV 44) unit. The pilot survived the war, but after 1945 he left Germany and settled in one of the South American countries, where he died in an air accident in the early 1950s.
