The Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV or Moon Buggy) was an American manned space wheeled vehicle used during the Apollo 15, 16 and 17 missions to move around the moon. The total length of the vehicle was 3.1 meters with a wheelbase of 2.3 meters. The weight of the vehicle on Earth was 210 kilograms, and on its natural satellite - only 35 kilograms "Earth".

The Lunar Roving Vehicle was developed and manufactured by Boeing and General Motors under the supervision and inspiration of NASA. It was powered by batteries and was a two-axle vehicle. Its main task was to accelerate and significantly facilitate the movement of American astronauts on the lunar surface. It was able to transport up to two people at a time. It is also worth adding that during a single mission, vehicles of this type traveled from 26.5 to 35.9 kilometers on the surface of the moon. In total, three Lunar Roving Vehicles were built between 1971 and 1972. Each of them was transported to the surface of the silver globe on board the Apollo Lunar Module (ALM).
