In Norse mythology, one of the most important gods was Thor, descended from the Aesian dynasty, son of Odin, and Jöro. He was the god of thunder, storms, but also all vital forces and agriculture. One of Thor's main attributes was his war hammer called Mjölnir, which, according to one Norse legend, was forged by two dwarfs - Sindri and Brokk. This hammer was supposed to have enormous impact force, which would knock down giants with one blow, but also split mountain hills in half! At the same time, Mjölnir was a symbol of Thor's vitality and only through him could it be used or lifted from the ground. In Norse mythology, his sons are to take over his war hammer after Thor's death. Of course, Thor in the universe created by the Marvel Comics publishing house also has the described war hammer. In this universe, thanks to this weapon, he can fly and bring lightning to the earth. It is worth adding that Thor first appeared in Marvel comics in 1962.
