Nieuport 21 is a modernized version of the Nieuport 17 aircraft, used on a small scale in France, American and British aviation and on a large scale in Russia, where it was produced under license. It had the same engine as its predecessor, but produced less power. It featured enlarged wings and a generally reinforced structure.
