The presented Dutch type windmill (the so-called Dutch) was built in the second half of the 19th century in Powi¶le in the town of Dobrocin. Currently, the height of the building is 18 m, the wingspan is 26 m, and the diameter of the lowest floor is 9 meters. The windmill was built on an octagonal plan, and mainly wood was used for its construction. The facility consists of five storeys in total, the first four (when viewed from the ground) are stationary, and only the last one, the fifth in the sequence, is rotating. hat. Such a windmill construction clearly distinguishes it from "ko¼lak" or "paltrak" type windmills. At present, the windmill is located on the premises of the Folk Architecture Museum in Olsztynek. The windmill was partially moved there in 1938-1942. The museum grew in the 1950s and it can be assumed that it was in this decade that the Dutch-type windmill became one of its main exhibits.
