Orenstein und Koppel no. The 531 is a narrow-gauge steam locomotive, which was manufactured in 1899 at the Orenstein und Koppel AG plant in Berlin-Drewitz. Steam locomotive no. 531 was purchased by the sugar factory in Nak³o nad Noteci± (present Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship) in 1900 for field and transport works. The steam locomotive was a small vehicle, adapted to run on a 600 mm wide track. It had a power of 60 HP and could accelerate to only 20 km / h, which, however, considering its tasks, was a fully sufficient speed. The vehicle was, however, unusual because it used relatively rare design solutions, such as a screw throttle, a lever interlocking or even unique in Poland, a patent staple of the Klug type. The steam locomotive turned out to be highly reliable and served in the sugar factory in Nak³o until 1975! It has been a museum exhibit since 1978.
