The PZL M-2 was a Polish prototype training and training aircraft with a metal structure, in the low wing structure with a fixed landing gear, from the post-war period. The drive was provided by a single engine Prague M 208B with a power of 220 hp. The plane was first flown in 1958, but it did not enter mass production. The machine did not have a permanent on-board armament. The PZL M-2 was commissioned by the Polish Aero Club at the WSK-Mielec plant by a team led by Eng. Stanis³aw Jachyr. The new machine was partly based on the PZL M-1 aerobatic aircraft design. During the test flights, the airframe structure showed only minor defects, which were successfully and successively removed. On the other hand, the engine turned out to be a big problem, which due to its characteristics significantly limited the acrobatic abilities of the new plane. An attempt to replace it with a different engine also did not bring the expected results. What's more, the client (Polish Aero Club) changed the requirements for the new training aircraft, which definitely put an end to work on the PZL M-2.
