The Px4 is a very short series of narrow-gauge steam locomotives that were ordered in 1923 and manufactured between 1924 and 1925 at the Orenstein und Koppel works in Berlin. In total, only two locomotives of this type were built, and each of them had four driving axles. Each locomotive had a dedicated single tender with two axles each. The locomotives were adapted to travel on rails with a gauge of 600 mm, and their first operator was the Wyrzyskie Poviat Lines. They were operated by these lines until 1939. Fortunately, they survived World War II, but after 1945 they found their way to the PKP rolling stock. There they were initially designated Px2, but in 1961 they were changed to Px4. Both locomotives were scrapped in the 1970s - none of the Px4 locomotives have survived to date.
