Rozewie lighthouse is a contemporary Polish lighthouse located a few kilometers from W³adys³awowo in the Puck district on the coast of the Baltic Sea. It is the oldest building of this type on the Polish coast. The present lighthouse in Rozewie was erected in 1822, although the decision to build it was already made in 1807. However, as a result of the Napoleonic Wars, the construction process was significantly extended. At that time, the height of the lighthouse was 21.3 meters. To increase the safety of navigation, in 1875 a second lighthouse was built in Rozewie, which, however, was only active until 1910, when the first flying was significantly modernized, electrified and increased by 5 meters. In the 1970s, the lighthouse underwent another modernization, when it was raised by another 8 meters and much more modern apparatus for generating light was used. At present, the administrator of the facility is the Maritime Office in Gdynia, and the total height of the tower is approx. 33 meters. The range of the white light it projects is 26 nautical miles (NM) - thus it has the largest nominal range of all the lighthouses on the Polish coast.
