SP Ba³tyk was a Polish passenger ship from the interwar period, World War II and the post-war period. The unit was launched in May 1928. The length of the ship - at the time of launching - was 63.05 m, and the width was 11.6 m, at the draft - 0.49 meters. The unit could accommodate a maximum of 680 passengers. Its crew usually consisted of 11 people. SP Ba³tyk was ordered by Polska ¯egluga Rzeczna from the Danziger Werft shipyard as a unit to handle passenger and tourist traffic on the Vistula. The unit entered service in the summer of 1928, carrying out just such tasks. It is worth adding that it was characterized by very impressive interiors, which were added to the chic by crystal chandeliers! From 1931 to 1939, the unit served the Warsaw-Tczew line. The ship was captured by the Germans during the September campaign and, under the German flag, served, among others, as a holiday ship or a floating office. It was sunk at the end of World War II, but quickly recovered from the bottom and renovated. During the Polish People's Republic, it changed its name to "Alina", and in the 1980s it returned to its original name. The vessel sank in 1990, crushed by ice.
