The Opatowska Gate in Sandomierz is a historic city gate, the roots of which date back to the second half of the 14th century. At present, it is located near the historic fragments of the city's defensive walls and near the Dominican gate (the so-called eye of the needle). It is the only surviving (out of the four built) gates of the medieval city gates of Sandomierz. It was erected by the foundation of Casimir III the Great. It was originally built in the Gothic style, but in the 16th century it was added a Renaissance attic, which was in turn funded by Stanis³aw Bartolon. This attic has a specific motif, the so-called dovetails, which also appears in the ornaments of the church in Paczków. At present, it is 33 meters high and has five storeys, which makes it one of the largest preserved Gothic city gates in Poland. At present, it is one of the most important monuments of Sandomierz. In 2017, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, entered the Opatowska Gate, along with many other monuments of the city, on the List of Historical Monuments.

The town hall in Sandomierz (¦wiêtokrzyskie Province) was erected in the first half of the 14th century, shortly after the Lithuanian invasion of the city. It is quite commonly assumed that its construction was completed in 1349. In the original version, the town hall was built in the Gothic style, on a square plan, with an octagonal tower as the finial. However, in the 16th century, the town hall of Sandomierz was extended and took the shape of a rectangle and received a three-zone attic, thus in line with the influences of the Renaissance. The corners of the attic are decorated with heads that symbolize the four social classes. A century later (17th century), a tower was added to the town hall. At present, on the southern wall of the town hall, there is a sundial made in the 1950s by Tadeusz Pod³kowski in the sgraffito technique. In November 2017, the town hall, along with several other buildings in Sandomierz, was entered by the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, on the list of historical monuments.
