The Firefighter 3 was a Polish East German fire ship that entered service in 1965. The length of the vessel at the time of launching was 32.2 m, draft - 1.7 m, with a maximum width of 5.9 meters. The drive was provided by a single 4-stroke 6NVD26A engine. The marching speed was around 11-12 knots. The ship's crew consisted of 12 people, including 6 firefighters. The fire-fighting vessel Strażak 3 was built at the Schiffswerft Berlin-Koepenick river shipyard for the seaport in Gdańsk. This vessel, like three other twin vessels built for the ports of Gdynia, Szczecin and ¦winouj¶cie, belonged to the IBIS class, and the manufacturer, for the needs of Polish customers, redesigned the internal space and installed special equipment, different from the series installed on ships of this class . In the course of his long service, Firefighter 3 performed tasks related to the independent fight against fires on units located in the port and in the port roadstead, fight against fires in port facilities and water supply to land units. The unit was decommissioned in 1992.
