The Saro Cloud was a British flying boat from the interwar period. The flight of the first prototype took place in 1930. Serial production started shortly after. About 20 aircraft of this type were built in its course. The drive was usually provided by two Armstrong Siddeley Serval III engines, 340 HP each. The deck armament consisted of two 7.7 mm machine guns. The machine could also take a load of bombs weighing up to approx. 100 kilograms.

The Saro Cloud was designed and implemented into production by the Saunders Roe aviation plant as a civilian flying boat, which in its essence is an evolutionary development of the A.17 Cutty Sark machine from the same manufacturer. The main difference between the two machines was that the Saro Cloud was longer than its predecessor and used different power units. It also differed in other small technical details. It is worth noting that the machine also aroused the interest of the British RAF, which found machines of this type to train pilots and observers of flying boats, but they were withdrawn from service in 1939, even before the outbreak of World War II.
