The T-90 is a Soviet self-propelled anti-aircraft gun from the Second World War. The first prototypes of this car appeared in 1942. The drive was provided by two coupled GAZ-202 engines with a capacity of 70 HP each. The length of the vehicle was 4.29 meters and a width of 2.42 meters. The armament of the vehicle consisted of two machine guns with a caliber of 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm.
The T-90 vehicle was created as an evolutionary development of the T-70 light tank, on which many components and construction elements were based. The main change was to replace the 45mm turret with a turret with coupled machine guns. The vehicle was to provide direct anti-aircraft defense for its own troops over short and very short distances. Despite the fact that the T-90 successfully passed the field tests, it did not enter mass production. The main reason was the production of the ZSU-37 vehicle with more powerful anti-aircraft weapons. Another reason was the cessation of production of the T-70 tanks on the chassis of which the new car was based.
