The Bi 29 wagon belonged to the "Bi" series of wagons, which were two-axle passenger cars from the interwar period, World War II and the post-war period. The production of these wagons was carried out by many German companies from 1928. The total length of a single wagon with buffers was 14.04 m with a wheelbase of 8.5 m. The wagon had 48 seats and its maximum speed was 60 km / h.
Bi wagons (including the Bi 29 model) had a steel, riveted body structure with a sheet metal shell. Each car had separate, open passenger compartments with a passage between them located centrally along the car. Electric and bulb lighting was also installed. Compared to the previously built wagons dedicated to the 2nd and 3rd class, the Bi series wagons had separate, closed vestibules. After the end of World War II, PKP owned 80 such wagons. The last of this type of carriages were still in service in the 1980s!
