Insidioso was an Italian destroyer, also classified as a torpedo boat, from both world wars and the interwar period. The unit was launched in July 1913. The total length of the ship was 73 meters and 7.3 meters wide. Full displacement reached approx. 750 tons, and maximum speed - approx. 33-35 knots. The armaments at the time of launching included: a single 120mm cannon, 76mm cannons and 450mm torpedo tubes.

Insidioso was one of the Indomito-class ships. This type of vessel was the first large destroyer in the Italian Regia Marina and the first steam turbine-powered vessel of its class in Italy. All six ships of this class were built at the Societa Pattison shipyard in Naples. During World War I, Insidioso performed mainly patrol and escort tasks. In May 1917, the unit took part in the Battle of the Strait of Otranto. After the end of hostilities, the destroyer underwent modernization, but its design and combat capabilities were more and more different from world standards, which led to its withdrawal from the line in 1938. However, in March 1941, Insidioso returned to service as an escort unit. However, after Italy's capitulation, the unit was taken over by the Kriegsmarine and served as a German-flagged torpedo boat under the name Wildfang or TA-21. Ultimately, the ship was sunk by the US Air Force on November 5, 1944.
