The Yamaha SR400 (another name: JDM400) is a Japanese standard motorcycle that was first presented to the public in 1978. Its serial production started at the same time and continues now! Much of the production was concentrated in the city of Iwata in Japan. The SR400 model was originally designed and put into production to complement the commercial offer of Yamaha Motor Corporation, and its original destination was only the domestic motorcycle market. The SR400 model began to be offered abroad only in 2014, after only minor design and stylistic changes. From the very beginning, the motorcycle was designed to be relatively easy to drive, cheap to operate and maintain, while maintaining good performance. The drive was a 1-cylinder 499 cm3 engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. From 2010, the engine had fuel injection.
