The Mercury Eight is an American passenger car that was presented to the public for the first time in 1938. Its serial production started a year later and lasted until 1951. The car was powered - in cars of the third production generation - by an 8-cylinder engine with a capacity of 4.2 liters. The Eight model was developed and put into production by Mercury, which was part of the Ford Motor Company, as an intermediate car between the Ford Deluxe and Lincoln cars. In total, the vehicle had three production generations. The last of them, produced in the years 1949-1951. Compared to the previous generation, it received a new power unit with better dynamics and work culture, as well as a steering system. It also received a new exterior and interior design that clearly broke with the monotony of cars produced for the American market during World War II. The car was offered in several body styles, for example as a sedan, convertible, coupe or Monterey Coupe.
