The Ford Custom (1957) is an American full-size passenger car, which was presented to the public for the first time in 1957. Its serial production took place in the years 1957-1959. The car was powered - depending on the version - by a wide range of engines with a displacement of 3.7 to 5.8 liters, and the drive was transferred by automatic or manual gearboxes with 2 or 3 gears. Production took place mainly in the United States, in cities such as Los Angeles, Lorain and Chester.
The name Custom was used by the Ford Motor Company since the 1930s to denote various types or series of car models. In 1957 it was used to describe the upper middle class cars positioned on the market slightly below the Fairlane models. The Ford Custom was offered in very different variants, including: 2-door coupe, 2-door convertible, 4-door sedan or 4-door station wagon. Compared to the Ford models from 1955-1956, it differed primarily in the use of a body with a different style and other power units. The car turned out to be a great market success for the concern, even earning the title of the best-selling car in the USA in 1957!
