Jordi Rubio TG54 76 2mm long Soviet for T-28

KT-28 is a 76.2 mm short-barrel tank howitzer from the interwar period and the Second World War of Soviet production. The maximum range varied, depending on the ammunition used, from 1000 to 4200 meters. The presented gun was constructed on the basis of the M-1927 field howitzer of the same caliber, which served as regiment guns in Soviet infantry regiments at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s. Also the KT-28 howitzer was developed primarily to support one's own infantry, and not to combat enemy armor. Thus, it played a similar role to the German 75mm KwK37 cannon or the Japanese Type 97 57mm cannon. It also fired shells, mainly high-explosive (e.g. UF-353) and fragmentation (e.g. UO-353M). When firing ammunition at armored targets, it was able to penetrate a 32 mm-thick armor plate at a distance of 200 meters. The KT-28 howitzer was the main armament of the T-28 and T-35 multi-turret tanks and the so-called artillery tank based on the BT-7 vehicle.
