MBV2 is a Soviet armored draisine from the interwar period and World War II. This rail vehicle was produced in 1937 at the Kirov plant in what was then Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg). The MBV2 draisine was a heavily armed, armored vehicle intended for reconnaissance and patrol tasks. Originally, its main armament was three 76.2 mm KT-28 cannons, but they were later replaced by the L-11s of the same caliber to receive the 76.2 mm F-34 guns in 1943. Additionally, the draisine was armed with 10 7.62 mm machine guns. In addition, it also had anti-aircraft armament. The drive was provided by the M-17T engine with a power of up to 500 HP. It is worth noting that in order to speed up the work on the draisine, many mechanical components were used in the T-28 tank. The MBV2 rail vehicle was used in combat during the Soviet-Finnish war (1939-1940) and in the German-Soviet war (1941-1945). In the course of the latter conflict, it was used primarily in the defense of Leningrad.
