Bronco CB35003 Befehlpanzer 38(f)

The Befehlspanzer 38H (f) was a German command tank and artillery observation vehicle from the Second World War. The first prototypes of this vehicle were made in 1943. In total, 24 vehicles of this type were built. The car was powered by a single gasoline engine Hotchkiss 6L6 with a power of 120 HP. Its armament consisted of a single 7.92 mm MG34 or MG42 machine gun. The maximum speed of the vehicle on the road was approx. 37 km / h. The Befehlspanzer 38H (f) was created as a far-reaching modernization of captured French Hotchkiss H-35 tanks. Compared to its prototype, it did not have a turret with main armament, it also received a slightly different power unit, and above all, its front and middle part of the fuselage were adapted to carry radio stations and optical observation systems, by creating a lightly armored casemates open at the top. Vehicles of this type served only in German-occupied France and took part in the battles with the Allied forces in this country in 1944.
