HMS Onslow (G17) was a British WWII destroyer. The keel for this unit was laid in 1940, and the launch took place in March 1941. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 105 meters and a width of 11 meters. Full displacement reached approx. 1,550 tons, and the maximum speed was approx. 37 knots. The armament at the time of the launch consisted of, among other things, four single 120 mm guns, 100 mm guns and depth charge launchers.

HMS Onslow was one of the eight Type O destroyers. The ships of this type were designed as cheap and quick to manufacture medium-sized destroyers that would fill the gap in the Royal Nawy between Tribal and Hunt ships. The design of the Type O destroyers is clearly based on the Type J / K / N units. HMS Onslow went through a long combat trail in the course of World War II. He spent a large part of it sheltering Arctic convoys in the period 1941-1945. It took part in the Battle of the Barents Sea on December 31, 1942, in which it was badly damaged. However, it also participated in Operation Harpoon in June 1942 in the Mediterranean Basin and participated in the pre-landing activities in Normandy in June 1944. In 1949, HMS Onslow was handed over to the Pakistani Navy, where he served until 1979 under the name "Tippu Sultan".

The models are digitally printed - some adhesives can dissolve the ink!

Paint in digital printing can be dissolved by certain types of adhesives like butaprene and similar on the same solvents. Before bonding, it is advisable to try the adhesive used on a barely visible part of the model.
