HMS M15 was a British monitor from the First World War. The keel for this vessel was laid in March 1915, and the launch took place in April of the same year. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 54.03 meters and a width of 9.4 meters. The displacement reached approx. 550 tons and the maximum speed was approx. 11 knots. The armament at the time of the launch consisted of one 234 mm gun, one 76 mm gun and one 37 mm gun.
HMS M15 was one of fourteen monitors belonging to the class of ships of the same name. Units of this type were built with the intention of shelling enemy quays rather than offshore operations. They were also equipped with main artillery of the same caliber as that of the Drake-class armored cruisers. HMS M15, shortly after its launch at Hartlepool, Great Britain, was transferred to Malta, where the equipment of the vessel was completed. Later it ended up in the Greek port of Mudros, and from there it was sent to Egypt as a Suez Canal protection unit. The unit was sunk by the German submarine UC-38 on November 11, 1917.
