Falcon Millennium (Polish name: Falcon Millennium) is a space freighter from the Star Wars universe, fighting in the ranks of the Rebellion, and piloted primarily by Han Sol. He first appeared on the screen in the movie "Star Wars: A New Hope" (I or IV part of the saga). The armament consists of laser cannons and proton torpedo launchers. Falcon Millennium also has extensive energy shields generating protective fields around the unit. The length of the vehicle is 34.5 meters. The drive is primarily provided by the SSP05 hyperdrive generator.
The Falcon Millennium is a highly modernized YT-1300F light freighter that was manufactured by Corellian Engineering Corporation. As a result of the modernization, the vehicle became one of the fastest ships in the Galaxy - especially in hyperspace flights. It is also characterized by great maneuverability and resistance to enemy fire - especially from laser cannons. It is able to engage in equal combat with the imperial TIE fighters. The Falcon Millennium played a major role in the Battle of Yavin (Year 0 BBY) and in the Battle of Hoth (Year 3 ABY).
TIE fighter (TIE is an acronym for Twin Ion Engine) is a space fighter from the Star Wars universe that first appeared on the cinema screen in the 1977 movie "Star Wars" (Episode IV) and later appeared in many more parts of the space saga. It is assumed that the basic version of the TIE fighter was about 6.3 meters long, about 6.4 meters wide and about 7.6 meters high. Of course, these are only indicative data. The drive was provided by a double Sienar P-s4 ion engine, and its armament consists of two Sienar L-s1 laser cannons. The TIE Fighter was the primary fighter of the Galactic Empire for many, with Sienar Fleet Systems as its primary manufacturer. At the time of entry into service, machines of this type were characterized by low construction costs and a very simple structure. For example, they did not have any force shields, and their pilots had to take special oxygen containers with them. At the same time, however, the TIE Fighter had a clear advantage in terms of maneuverability and speed over enemy fighters - especially over the Y-Wing or Z-95. However, it did not match the performance of the machine popularly known as the X-Wing, the Incom T-65 machine. It was also much less durable, which caused significant losses among the pilots flying it.
