The Citroen Xsara is a French passenger car that was first presented to the public in 1997. Its serial production started in the same year and continued until 2006. The car was powered by a relatively wide range of gasoline and diesel engines - depending on the version - with a capacity of 1.4 to 2.0 liters and a maximum power of 75 to 163 HP.
The Xsara model was developed and put into mass production by the PSA automotive concern, the owner of the Citroen brand, in order to replace the ZX model. Compared to its predecessor, it differed in several elements - most of all, a more streamlined body style, a changed range of available power units and available equipment. The car was offered as a 3- and 5-door hatchback, and in the Xsara Picasso version (offered since 1999) as a 5-door station wagon. The car was not only quite successful on the market, but also turned out to be one of the best rally cars at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries! The Citroen Xsara WRC has won the Constructors 'World Championship three times for the Citroen Total World Really Team, and Sebastian Loeb has won the World Rally Drivers' Championship three times in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
