RS Models 92047 Czechoslovakian training plane Praga E-241(German service)

The Praga E-241 was a Czechoslovak training and training plane in a biplane configuration with a fixed undercarriage from the interwar period. The drive was provided by a single engine Walter Pollux II with a power of 360 HP. The plane's flight took place in 1936. A total of 95 examples of this aircraft were built. The machine did not have on-board weapons.

The E-241 aircraft was commissioned by the Czechoslovak air force at the CKD-Praga plant as an advanced training aircraft dedicated primarily to training fighter pilots. When creating the new plane, the manufacturer clearly relied on his other plane: the BH-39. The first result of his work was the Praga BH-41 (or E-41) machine, but it was quickly modernized by changing the power unit and this is how the Praga E-141 was created. However, it turned out to be a completely unsuccessful aircraft, and as a result, the modernization of this aircraft began in CKD-Praga: the engine was replaced, the aerodynamics was improved and other, smaller changes to the structure were introduced. The changed machine was called Praga E-241 and it was adopted by the army, as well as its serial production was launched. After the fall of Czechoslovakia, about 30 Prague E-241 planes served in the Slovak Air Force and a much smaller number in the Luftwaffe.
