Ducati Monster S4 is an Italian motorcycle with the so-called class naked bike, which was first presented to the public in 2001. Its production at the company's Bologna plant began at the same time and continued until 2003, when production of the Monster S4R models began.

The Monster S4 model was developed and implemented into production to strengthen the company's position in the so-called naked bike and to replace the models from the Monster 600 series. The new motorcycle differed from its predecessors mainly in the power unit, which with changes and modifications was almost transferred from the 916 model and generates power of 101 HP. Minor changes also affected the brake and exhaust systems. As a result, a motor with a low weight, a short wheelbase was created, with an engine generating high maximum revolutions for this class of motorcycles. The result was a successful vehicle, which, however, was replaced in 2003 by the Monster S4R model.
