The EE-T1 Osório was a prototype 3rd generation Brazilian Main Battle Tank (MBT) from the Cold War period. The car's prototypes were built in 1984-1986, but never entered mass production. The length of the wagon - without a barrel - was 7.13 meters and a width of 3.2 meters. The drive was provided by a single engine diesel MWM TBD 234 with a power of 1100 hp . The armament consisted of the 120 mm GIAT G.1 tank gun and two 7.62 and 12.7 mm machine guns.

The EE-T1 Osório prototypes were created as a grassroots initiative of the Engesa concern, which wanted to use the new vehicle to arouse the interest of the Brazilian army, as well as win numerous foreign buyers. From the beginning, it was assumed that a large number of elements of the new vehicle would be imported or manufactured under license. Taking into account the geographical conditions of Brazil, the aim was to reduce the weight of the car to 40-45 tons. The first prototype - dedicated to the Brazilian army - was built in 1984 and was armed with a 105mm L7A3 gun, shortly after that a prototype dedicated to the export market was built with a 120mm gun. Despite a series of tests of the car carried out by its own armed forces and potential foreign customers (especially Saudi Arabia!), The car was not purchased and did not enter mass production.
