Gloss Paint
Enamel paint, which was placed in a small glass container with a volume of 10 ml with a plastic screw cap. It will prove useful in the case of painting especially plastics, but also soft types of wood or metals. It can be applied with both an airbrush and a brush. In the case of brushing, it is recommended to use one with synthetic bristles (for example:High Finish Pointed Brush - (Small) ,High Finish Flat Brush No.02 orA.MIG 8595 SYNTHETIC FILBERT BRUSH 4 ). Using a natural bristle brush can lead to faster wear. Before opening the paint, it is recommended to mix it well, so that all its components (i.e. pigment, binder and solvent) are combined with each other. 30-40 seconds may be taken as the minimum mixing time. It is recommended to apply it to the surface of the model, which is dry and preferably also degreased. It is assumed that the minimum time that should pass between the application of the first and second layer is 4-6 hours, depending on the ambient temperature, while the time needed for complete drying is approx. 24 hours. When thinning the paint, use a suitable liquid for this purpose, and above all, Tamiya products dedicated for this purpose, such as:X-20 Enamel Thinner / Rozcieñczalnik do farb olejnych orX-20 Enamel Thinner / Rozcieñczalnik do farb olejnych . When preparing the paint for airbrush work, dilute it in the proportion 1: 5, that is, for 1 part of the thinner mentioned above, use 5 parts of the paint. The mixing of both substances is best done in a paint tray (for example:18 Well Palette for Brush Painting (5pcs.) ,Paint Pallet - Basic Type orPallete Droper Stirrer ). After finishing work, it is recommended to wipe the lid of the container with a paper towel or cloth in order to remove excess paint and only then close it carefully. In turn, it is recommended to clean the tools with specialized fluids, such asBrush Cleaner Painta Clean 100ml . You can also try to use turpentine or white spirit for this purpose. It is also worth mentioning that the Tamiya company has developed a specialized workplace, i.e.Work Station w/Magnifying Lens , dedicated to use, inter alia, with the paint in question.
Tamiya Enamel Paints are used for brush or spray painting, and can be applied to almost any surface of wood, metal or plastic. When spray painting enamels, best results are achieved by adding 2 parts of thinner to 10 parts of paint.
