The Curtiss Hawk II (another designation: Curtiss Export Hawk II) was an American fixed-landing biplane fighter in the classic layout from the interwar period. The prototype's flight took place in 1933. The drive was provided by a single 710 HP Wright Cyclone R-1820 F-3 engine. The length of the aircraft was 7.62 meters with a wingspan of 9.6 meters. The deck armament mostly consisted of two 7.62 mm machine guns.

Curtiss Hawk II was developed at an aerospace manufacturer Curtiss Airplane and Motor Corporation, as an export version of the Curtiss XF-11 C-2 fighter. However, it was assumed that the new aircraft would be dedicated primarily to ground airport operations - for this reason, the under-fuselage hook was removed and a slightly more modern version of the Wright Cyclone engine was used. The plane was exported mainly to Latin American countries, but a few copies also went to the Third Reich. as a curiosity it can be added that two of them went to Ernest Udet. It is also worth noting that soon after the Henschel works, the Hs 123 machine was created, showing many features in common with airplanes Curtiss Hawk II.
