Tamiya 20051 Ferrari 312T3 (Clear Cowl)

The Ferrari 312T is an Italian Formula 1 car that was presented in the 1975 season and competed in F1 races in the period 1975-1980. Its designer was Mauro Forghieri. The Ferrari 312T was powered by a single 3-liter V-12 engine.

The Ferrari 312T was developed to replace the Ferrari 312B3 car. Compared to its predecessor, it differed primarily in the use of a completely new rear axle and a different method of mounting the gearbox. Changes were also made to the design of the engine, but it was not replaced with a new power unit. On the other hand, the aerodynamic properties of the vehicle were significantly improved, and light and durable composite materials were used in its construction on a larger scale. The Ferrari 312T took part in 89 Grand Prix races - it was victorious in 27 of them. It was on the car that Jody Scheckter and Niki Lauda won their championship titles. Gelles Villeneuve also competed on the Ferrari 312T.
