The Nieuport-Delage NiD-52 is a French, single-engine fighter in the 1.5-wing configuration, flown in 1927. The plane showed many similarities with its predecessor, NiD-42. It was developed by the Nieuport company together with two other aircraft: NiD-72 and NiD-62. The fate of these constructions turned out differently. The NiD-62 aircraft attracted the interest of the French aviation, NiD 72 went to Brazil and Belgium, while the NiD-52 was purchased by Spain, which also bought a license and produced this aircraft at the Hispano-Suiza factories. Its production was carried out in the years 1930-1933. It was very unpopular with pilots, it was heavy, not very steerable and much slower than declared by the Nieuport company. During the Civil War, it was outclassed by Fiat CR.32 or Heinkel He 51 fighters.
