Kawasaki Kz1000 (another designation: Kawasaki Z1000) is a Japanese motorcycle that was presented to the public for the first time in 1976. Its serial production continued in the years 1977-2005. From 1981, the drive was provided by a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 998 cm3 and a maximum power of 90 HP. The maximum speed was up to 212 km / h. The Kz1000 model was developed and put into production by Kawasaki Heavy Industries as the successor of the KZ900 model, which in turn replaced the Z1 model in the company's offer. The main differences between the KZ900 and Kz1000 models were the power units used. In addition, the Kz1000 model had a slightly changed styling and was also better mechanically refined. From 1977 to 1981 the Kz1000 was powered by a 1,015cc engine, but from 1981 a 998cc engine was used as a power unit.
