The Martin-Baker Mk.6 was and still is a British ejection seat which was introduced in the 1960s. The official website of the manufacturer states that it was used for the first time on November 28, 1966. For the seat to work effectively, the pilot's weight must be from 71 to 102 kilograms, later these values increased to 72-113 kilograms. The Martin-Baker Mk.6 seat was developed as a far-reaching modification of the Mk.4 seat, and the main change was that using the new seat, the pilot was able to leave the plane at zero machine speed and at zero altitude (zero-zero capability). ). The development version of this chair (dedicated to Blackburn Buccaneer machines) also had the ability to eject when the plane was under the water surface. The chair was mounted on machines such as: Aermacchi MB-326, Dassault Mirage III, Dassault Ouragan, Dornier Do 31 or the already mentioned Blackburn Buccaneer.
