The Mercedes-Benz CLK is a German passenger sports car that was first presented to the public at the time in 1997, and its serial production began in 1997 and continued until 2009. Mercedes-Benz CLK was based on many design solutions of Mercedes C-class (eg common floor plate), but formally - despite the name - it was marketed as a shortened and sporty version of the E-class. Until now, two generations of this car have been created. The first one (factory designation: W208) was produced in the years 1997-2003. It was powered by engines with a capacity of 2 to 4.3 liters and a maximum power of 134 to 275 HP (without the version developed in cooperation with AMG). The second generation (designation: W209) was built from 2002 to 2009. Compared to the previous one, the design was changed, and other power units with greater power and capacity were used. In the offer of Mercedes-Benz, the CLK model was replaced in 2009 by the E-class models: C-207 and A-207.
