The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French, single-engine fighter-attack aircraft with delta wings in a low wing configuration. On December 18, 1975, the French government supported the launch of the new Dassault Mirage 2000 program, an aircraft as small as possible and with a 1: 1 weight-to-thrust ratio, using the SNECMA M53-3 engine. Mirage 2000 reverts to the triangular wing concept. Thanks to the fly-by-wire control and the location of the center of gravity far back, the plane was very maneuverable. The experience gained with the Mirage III resulted in an increase in the wing area, which resulted in a lower surface load and guaranteed better flight performance at low speeds. The use of an automatically lowered leading edge associated with the movement of ailerons resulted in a change of profile, which further increased performance and controllability at low speeds. Five prototypes were built. The first flew on March 10, 1978, and the fifth - Mirage 2000B (two-seater training version) in October 1980. The first serial Mirage 2000C flew on November 20, 1982. An interesting version is also the Mirage2000N, capable of carrying nuclear weapons. According to Dessault Mirage 2000, it is capable of intercepting a target flying at an altitude of 25,000 meters at 3Ma within four minutes after take-off from the airport. Mirage 2000 is equipped with military aviation, among others. in France, Greece, India, Brazil. Technical data (Mirage 2000C version): length: 14.36m, wingspan: 9.13m, height: 5.2m, maximum speed: 2.35Ma, climb speed: 284m / s, maximum range (with overhead tanks): 3335km , maximum ceiling 18000m, equipment: fixed - two 30mm DEFA 554 cannons, suspended - up to 6000 kg of cargo.
