CMK K7294 Napier Sabre series Mk.II - WW II British aircraft engine 1/72

The Hawker Typhoon Mark Ib and Hawker Tempest Mark V fighter-bombers were powered by one of the versions of the Napier Saber II engine. This engine was one of the types of Napier Saber engines that went into production at the beginning of World War II. The Napier Saber II engine was a 24-cylinder liquid-cooled H-type aero engine using a turbocharger. The maximum power generated by this engine was 2,180 hp in the Saber IIA version, 2,200 hp in the Saber IIb version, and 2,260 hp in the IIc version. In the Typhoon Mk. Ib was used by all of the above-mentioned types, while the Hawker Tempest Mk. V - Napier Saber IIb engine only. It is worth adding that in the Tempest Mk. VI used the Saber V engine, and the Tempest Mk. II - Bristol Centaurus V engine. The Napier Saber II engines were undoubtedly of considerable size, which had all undergone a relatively long development process, but compensated for this by the considerable peak power generated as well as the excellent low-altitude Typhoon and Tempest performance.
