The OT-26 (other designations: KhT-26 or HT-26) was a Soviet interwar and World War II flamethrower tank, classified in the USSR as a "chemical tank". The first prototypes of the car were made in 1933, and serial production started shortly after. It is estimated that about 600 vehicles of this type were built. The tank was powered by a single engine GAZ DT-26 with a capacity of 85 HP. The length of the wagon was about 4.6 meters with a width of about 2.4 meters.

Car The OT-26 was constructed on the basis of the T-26 model 1931 tank. This T-26 model was the first version of this tank and had two more turrets. Outwardly, it also very clearly resembled the British Vickers E tank, of which it was a copy. The OT-26, compared to its predecessor, had only one turret, which housed its main and secondary armament in the form of a 7.62 mm DT machine gun. The second turret was dismantled and the space after it was covered with an armor plate. Interestingly, the design of the turret on the OT-26 was different than on the T-26 mod 1931. It is also worth noting that the OT-26 was designed in such a way that it could function as both a flamethrower and a self-propelled combat gas thrower. The OT-26 vehicles were used in combat during the war with Japan (1938-1939), Finland (1939-1940) and in the initial period of the German-Soviet war (1941-1945).
